Adoption Fees
Adoption fees help offset the costs associated with caring for the animals in our shelter.
Dogs and Puppies - $130
- Spay or neuter surgery
- Negative heartworm test or treatment of heartworm if positive
- DA2PP and Bordetella vaccinations. Need for boosters is dependent on the individual dog's age and length of stay.
- Rabies vaccine. If at least 12 weeks of age.
- Treatment of common parasites, including fleas.
- Current year dog license. Hancock County residents only
- Certificate for free office visit redeemable at one of eleven local veterinary clinics.
Cats and Kittens - $50
- Spay or neuter surgery
- Tested negative for Feline Leukemia Virus
- FVRCP vaccinations. Need for boosters is dependent on the individual cat's age and length of stay.
- Rabies vaccine. If at least 12 weeks of age.
- Treatment of common parasites, including fleas.
- Certificate for free office visit redeemable at one of eleven local veterinary clinics.
Pocket Pets - $20
- Rabbits receive a certificate for spay or neuter at Blanchard Valley Veterinary Clinic.
- All pocket pets have received a health exam.
